Solidar'Monde was founded by the Artisans du Monde federation in 1984. Its mission is to commercialize food, cosmetic and other handmade products from developing countries in Europe. Solidarity and fairness are the two core principles that seek to improve producer lifestyles.
They consider their suppliers to be partners, thus paying them a fair price and developing sustainable relationships.
One important aspect of their mission is to develop awareness in customers about the world trade and its consequences.
OXFAM works on developing ethical rules for international trade. We believe that fair trade gives producers in developing countries the opportunity to become more independent, which will contribute to greater economic development.
Oxfam Fair Trade has been buying products from LFP since 1997.
Oxfam Wereldwinkels works on protecting genetically diverse rice and tea, and organic and fair trade certification in order to expand market possibilities and the process of obtaining quality rice and tea labels (HACCP). It also supports ASDSP and Lao Farmers Products by funding staff training, new industrial equipment, producer group visits, and more.
Oxfam-Solidarity is an NGO supporting development projects in developing countries by raising funds and selling goods in a chain of secondhand shops. Oxfam-Solidarity also carries out various political initiatives.
